I design resilient backend systems and carry the work through infrastructure, delivery, and the product experience people actually use.

Experience

Engineering for the long run.

I work where backend architecture, operations, and delivery meet: improving systems without losing sight of the people who depend on them.

2023 - Present

Building and modernizing media services that support radio, advertising, and digital content operations at production scale.

reduction in manual processing after automating advertisement and audio extraction from live radio streams.

8 → 21

Java modernization across core microservices, introducing hexagonal architecture and clearer domain boundaries.

  • Designed a scalable ad server for targeted content delivery across digital channels, improving relevance and distribution efficiency.
  • Helped move delivery from Jenkins to GitLab CI and Argo CD, creating repeatable Kubernetes deployment workflows.
  • Engineered an autonomous Google Drive to Amazon S3 migration workflow that reduced operational overhead and improved data reliability.

I like owning the whole journey: shaping the idea, defining the architecture, building the interface, and operating the result.

Independent publishing platform

The Brass Journal

A bilingual theological journal for honest, context-rich study of the Restored Gospel, Semitic roots, and the Book of Mormon.

I designed and built the public reading experience around essays, topics, and authors, with an editorial workflow that makes publishing and media management practical. The product balances a serious, archival visual language with modern search, responsive reading, and deployment infrastructure.

About me

Curious by default.
Practical by training.

I'm Sebas, a fullstack developer with a backend focus. I care about the quiet qualities that make software valuable over time: clear boundaries, predictable delivery, useful interfaces, and systems that can be understood by the next person.

Outside work, I maintain an Ubuntu home lab and a three-node Kubernetes cluster running DNS, monitoring, storage, VoIP experiments, Argo CD, and load balancing. It gives me a place to test ideas end to end instead of learning them only in theory.

I also study theology and ancient scripture, with particular interest in biblical Hebrew and Greek, the Book of Mormon, and the historical worlds behind sacred texts. That work became The Brass Journal.
